Letter To Convergint About My Dad.
Dear Convergint,
I want to tell you the reasons why my dad is a good colleague for your company.
My dad is dedicated to his job and he proves it by waking up every day at 6:30 am to get ready for work. I always tell him that it is still dark outside, but I know it’s because he wants to be on time and get started early. My dad has never called in late because he knows people count on him to be there. He has taught me to be motivated and to love my job when I grow up. I am only 4 but I know that my dad will answer the phone to customers and fellow colleagues any time of the day. I even know to be extra special quiet because he tells me that it’s really important. He carries 2 phones, one of his own and one from your company just so he can be reached no matter what.
My dad is a good colleague because he is a loyal friend to fellow colleagues and to his own personal friends and family. My dad has many friends and will sometimes even tell them he loves them over the phone because his philosophy is that you may never see those people again and you have to let them know how much you love them if that were to happen.
My dad takes great pride in his work; if it’s not up to my dad’s high standards then it’s not done correctly. He takes accountability for his actions and performance. He goes the “extra mile” by going out of his way to get jobs done; he even carries his company laptop when we travel out of town just in case he needs to help customers by phone. He takes his job seriously and is full of knowledge; and this is why he continues his education by getting certified in different areas. My dad is very smart, he loves to learn new things and learns them quick; and doesn’t mind teaching what he has learned to anyone. He is a teacher at heart and loves to show people what he knows because he understands that he was once in their shoes and learning can be difficult.
He has never called in sick and I know this because he has gone into work sick, but he knows he has to take care of his family. My mom and I are #1 to my dad and he loves us very much, he teaches me new things all the time, such as, playing new games on his computer. He shows me how things work and how to take things apart and put them back together. I hope to one day be as smart as my dad.
Dad likes to save the company money by doing small things like: cleaning his work truck here at the house instead of charging it to the company. He works really long hours and one time I didn’t get to see him for 2 whole days because he was trying to get a job done by the deadline that was set. I remember he only got a few hours of sleep between each day/s and was really tired but that didn’t keep him from getting up a few hours later to go again.
He likes Convergint because he can see that they are family oriented and loves their colleagues and therefore having the same kind of values as he does. He sees compassion and great morals within Convergint and that is why he loves his job so much. He loves going to work every day and sees every day as a new challenge.
When my dad is not working or has some time off, he volunteers many hours a year to the Austin Stock show and Rodeo. He helps out with security at the rodeo and because of his volunteer time; the Rodeo supports the FFA, which is the Future Farmers of America group that help children and young adults pursue their passion for agriculture. My dad was in the FFA as a child and I hope to one day follow in his footsteps.
The point of this letter was to tell you how great I think my dad is and how he is a valuable colleague to your company. He is awesome and a really hard worker and I know that one day I will be just as great and I want to one day love my job, my family and friends just as much as my dad does. I hope you see what I see and give me and my family a awesome trip or scholarship. Even if we don’t win the trip or scholarship, my dad is the best colleague ever.
